Please support Somerset PTA's FarmRaiser! Teach your kids about the importance of eating fresh, locally-sourced food while supporting our PTA's new student wellness initiative. All of these items come from MD and VA (our salad dressing is even made by our own Somerset parent, Sophia Maroon!), and our PTA keeps nearly half of the proceeds! So please support local farmers and your PTA - choose the items you want, pay online and pick up your items at our PTA used book sale on Saturday, April 16th. If you don't want any items for yourself, please consider purchasing our 'community basket' which gives half of the proceeds to our PTA and uses the other half to purchase local food for community members in need. Thanks for supporting Somerset's PTA and we'll see you Saturday, April 16th with your delicious orders! - Somerset PTA Nutrition and Wellness Committee **Due to the great response, as of 3/21 we raised our fundraising goal to $2500. Our PTA gets to keep almost half of this amount, and our support is not only bringing in more funds for Somerset, but is also supporting local farmers and artisans. So thank you!

Blue Ridge Produce in the Virginia Piedmont area aggregates fresh fruit and vegetables grown locally and state-wide, and markets them to wholesale buyers throughout the region. We provide growers key services: post-harvest handling training and monitoring, farm pick-up, cooling, marketing and distribution. Blue Ridge Produce strives to build a value-based relationship with growers of all sizes which will help provide the support needed to scale up produce grown in our region. We strive to source from organic, local and low-spray producers specifically and offer support toward G.A.P certification training. Blue Ridge Produce has access and aggregates from over One Hundred Thirty farms in Virginia, as well as growers up and down the East Coast, and has the ability to offer a full line of consistent locally sourced product to fill the rising demand.
